Have someone you want to mentor you
Want to extend your social group and meet new people?
Want to make a business proposition to that investor?
JUST FREAKING REACH OUT!
I mean seriously...what is the absolute worse that could happen?
That girl has a boyfriend. So what, there are millions of single women(or men) out there.
That person you want to mentor you said screw you? Though it's highly unlikely, again, so what. There are plenty of other people who are successful in the same industry.
Move to a new spot and have no friends? Go out and join some sort of recreational activity. People start these groups to MEET people. They wont turn you away.
This last one is the scariest in my opinion. This person looks at what you have and determines if they want to invest.
There is a bright side to going to see them. They are the biggest scrutinizers of your business. They will point out all your weaknesses. THIS IS A GOOD, NO GREAT THING!
You get an outside perspective of what you need to fix. No emotions, just math and logic. Worst come to worst, your business improves, you get more clients. Criticism is a good thing.
All you have to do is make the move.
