I got some great advice from that thread. Since then I've found and purchased a brandable domain name. I've also created a product list and a group of companies that I'm interested in promoting their products.
My biggest hurdle is creating the web site itself. Alot of people have suggested that I look into a web developer, but I can't afford one. I do have a small amount of funding, but I'm saving this for my marketing efforts. And regardless, I think it's good for me to learn how to build my own sites so I can pursue other ventures in the future.
I'm currently hosting my domain at 1and1.com and they supplied me with a basic e-commerce software called NetObjects Fusion 8. It was a bit difficult to get the hang of and at the end the results looked pretty cheap and basic.
I've also been suggested to use Joomla to create my site. I just tried to install it but I don't know how to save it onto my domain name's FTP. My dad is going to take a look at it later and he said there's a possibility that my domain name host may not allow Joomla to be used.
Are there any other software programs that you recommend?
