Hey guys, it's been sometime, hope everyone's doing good.
Just wanted to share that I've been "vibecoding" for the past 5 months or so, non-stop daily, and wanted to share some stuff that I worked on and what I learnt, and hopefully where things would go from here.
Project 1 - SakinahTime Web App (Tranquility time) and SakinahTime (Android App) - 15 users and 0 in revenue.
This is basically an Islamic project.
What I learnt
Coding with Ai has made every idea we ever imagined easily come into reality. But that doesn't mean you're one prompt away from a great app. It takes long hours, weeks or more, lot's of consistency and grit to get things working and be able to have it production ready. That being said, I believe I have now found what I'm missing/lacking and that is idea validation and distribution.
A famous person on X(twitter) can post a link to an ugly shirt, and it would be sold out in minutes, but you can work on an app for weeks, and it can be the best looking app, but if no one knows it or has a use for it, it will sink and die. That's why I spent most of the past weeks trying to learn, how do we sell, how do we market organically, how do we get people to see what we did and actually use it, how do we turn users into paid customers. And I would say it's been the hardest learning journey in a while and I'm still barely getting any results.
One thing I have to share however, is that I believe and I actually feel, if someone keeps grinding the same way I've been doing the past few months, it will eventually work out. I'm not sure when. Maybe in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years or 5 years. Online business is not much different than offline business, they both require long grind and patience. But I just feel if you don't quit, you can eventually make it, how hard it can be. You just have to count months instead of days and years instead of months. Day in and day out.
Another thing I learnt is that you don't really want to make a full fledged app with all the features from the get go. Even if it will only take you a few weeks. I have made this mistake over and over in these products I built. But I believe it should be 1 feature in the app, and send it. See what people say, and then you can build more. The auto-accept extension was posted on reddit exactly 8 hours after working on it, and it got massive praise from first moment. I knew there was a demand right there and then.
In the example of Swoop, I spent a month working on it due to the many complex issues you'd face in such product, but when I eventually posted about it on reddit, not only did it flop hard, but I got so much hate that I was "2years late" and it's "ai-slop". Even the people who promised to "test" it out didn't bother. That's how bad it sucked lol. Even though I thought this will be banger and make a huge fuss in the internet. As I thought with my other projects which flopped.
The point is, you don't get to choose if people will like it or not. The people will either like it or not. So you have to know from day 1 before wasting day 2.
My Next 5 Months
I believe my next five months will be mostly trying to get a job again since my last lay off (a year ago), but this time it won't be just work, eat, gym and sleep, I have to keep grinding in a smarter way.
What I seem to keep forgetting is what I'm trying to do is get money. And what getting money is basically another word that means sales. And sales means giving value in return for money. Whatever technology/Ai/manufacturing/invention you create, if you can't sell it, there's no use. And that's where I have to start.
Anyway, I have tons more to say, but that's my thoughts for now. I hope you guys have benefitted as much as I did getting these ideas off my mind. And I believe if you're feeling like damn, this is not working, just know that like Hormozi says: "You're getting reps". If you look 3 months or 3 years from now, you'd have had 30+ products, learnt tons about sales and digital marketing and maybe some day you would be able to quit your job and live off your income stream.
Looking forward to reading your ideas, advice and suggestions for me!
Thanks for reading!

- Validate idea
- Build 1 feature in a day or two
- Send it
- Check what people say
- Kill it and move on, or keep going
- Learn marketing and stay consistent with it
- Most importantly, learn to sell
What I seem to keep forgetting is what I'm trying to do is get money. And what getting money is basically another word that means sales. And sales means giving value in return for money.
