For the past couple of years, I have wondered why there was not a universal network for motorcyclist. When I say universal, I mean riders of ALL types. In the motorcycle lifestyle, riders usually congregate online based on the type of bike they ride (sport bike, touring, cruiser, dirt, etc.) There is no "one stop shop" for motorcycle riders to come together and share information about their bikes/modifications, roads they like to ride, and events they attend.
For those on here that don't ride, motorcycle riders share a more "emotional" connection with their lifestyle of riding. It is more than being an enthusiast of sports cars or a specific marque, it is sensation that can't be described until you throw a leg in the saddle and try it out. After that, most will agree that the addiction to riding is worse than crack. There is a reason riders acknowledge each other on the road, it's because they both understand they are part of this "secret club".
I wanted to create ProudBike.com first, for my love of the lifestyle and second, to help me get familar with creating and maintaining a website. I still have A LOT to learn, and honestly, still am a bit intimidated, but I'm looking forward to it!
