So what happened just now is ridiculous. After reading @SinisterLex thread on copywriting on Upwork, I decided to take action right now, dug up my lost profile and went on to find my first client.
I decided to take the first one as it was someone new and needed descriptions for his awesome looking portfolio items. Of course, I decided to impress him by doing the first one for free (1/11) and charging him for the rest. Plus embed the text right into his website and send him a screenshot.
Well that took me half an hour and when I came back to write the proposal by the time I hit the send button it went private!? WTF?
I wasn't going to give that easily, so emailed the guy through his website and told him what happened also offering my service if he is interested.
