OK I wanted to run this idea by you guys and gals. I have spending more time thinking about leasing domains and websites. I have currently a network of hunting magazines each dedicated to it's own state. So there is one for Alaska, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, etc. for 42 different states. I didn't do all 50 since there are some states that really don't do hunting.
Anyway, each site has been around for about 2 or 3 years. All of them have a Facebook fan page and Twitter account. They have content on them, and ads. There are too many sites for me to run them properly. There should be at least one person per site, preferably a team of people per site. I was thinking of leasing them out individually for a monthly fee already intact. I am confident if someone, or a team of people, concentrated on just one site they could really earn a decent amount of money, find local sponsors etc.
Does anyone think this is a good or bad idea? I see this as passive income while others take the sites to the next level.
If I was able to rent them for at least $150/m across 42 sites, then ideally we are looking at $6,300 per month. Of course if I could rent them for $300/m it would double to $12,600 per month. I am not sure where to set my price. But that difference means a lot when you are talking 42 sites.
