No worries. We got it all figured out.

We were able to have the Google Meeting for like 3 hours. I'm not sure why there was a 1-hour timer or why you would have to pay, but if you are still having problems with that, I don't mind sending a link to host it if you run into that problem again, next week.

I was going to pop-in I guess I missed it.

We just wrapped it up about 5 minutes ago. Definitely try and join up next week if you can make it.

For myself, I am in a bit of a holding pattern, as I finished my end of the CAD design and prototyping. I sent over my designs to a guy who will be taking a look at the design and building the prototype for me. We should be talking sometime this week to finalize the prototype so he can start working on it.

In the meantime, I will be starting the process to learn how to file a provisional patent application. I won't be doing the writing of the PPA yet, since the prototype isn't finalized, but I can learn part of the process so I can file the PPA ASAP once the prototype is done and then I can send out marketing materials to companies.

GOALS:
1. To watch videos(I have a course) to learn the PPA process. I want to finish all the videos before the end of next week.
2. Get on another call with the prototyper and move that part of the project along.

Yup! The PPA course is his course. I am on 2x/week accountability calls with Amy Jo, who is one of the coaches who works with @Rearden. His course and the information they provide is incredible. I can't recommend his course for licensing highly enough.

Interesting. I do have like 5 other ideas in the chamber. I initially was going to go through the process before starting another project. However, one thing we talked about today was setting up a system of inventing new products. The process essentially went:

Due diligence --> Design --> Prototype --> Marketing materials --> Filing PPA --> Send out marketing materials --> then general negotiations

However, once you send out marketing materials, there can be downtime with nothing to do as you wait for companies to respond and begin the negotiations. At this point, would be a great time to start a new project so as to not waste time and begin a pipeline of new inventions.

I only worry that if I focus on a new project before getting my project to the "send out marketing materials" phase, then I will slow down this project, as I have to learn PPA writing at some point.

It was brought up, a better focus for my company and my skills/knowledge would be to help people source manufacturers and suppliers for their products.. I actually was thinking something similar but it wasn't too flushed out besides knowing I should be able to connect people to sources for the next steps.. I didn't think to make this the main pain point in solving my business. Helping people get their products made by..
A. Recommending the method in which the product should be produced.. Process/materials based on Volume.
B. Technically communicating their needs to a trusted manufacture
C. Re-designing the product to optimize for the manufacturer/Giving them detailed drawings, BOMs, Files etc.

-I can absolutely do all this, as I've done all this.
-This helps out my client who just needs a product to ship, and gives jobs to the manufacturer.

This makes my slogan "From Napkin Sketch to Reality" actually true

Goals:
-Update my speech and presentation I've been working on for my company (Be on stage at an event 9/5) to reflect my plans of getting into sourcing and brokering.
-Assign priority to items, update messaging, craft offers, collect source list, review sources, design new customer avatar for leads etc..
-Read up on Sourcing from Walter Hay's book (I have it on a shelf)
