Visa for Canton Fair 2016

I'm planning on going to the Canton Fair for phase 2 and 3 this year which is in about 2 weeks. I am in Thailand and have a New Zealand Passport.

I have tried to apply for a buyers badge on the Canton Fair website, then it is asking me for company details which I don't have a registered company I am just going there to look, do I need a company or get details of a Chinese company to apply or just make up a company? I cannot find this info anywhere....

Is it easier to apply for a tourist visa in hong kong? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

I'm based and am a resident of Hong Kong, and while I don't have a Chinese/ Hong Kong Passport. This tourist visa application process for China is pretty straightforward. I've done it and it gets done within 4 working days I believe, can be done quicker for an additional fee.

If you're applying from outside your resident country, I believe you'll have to fill both of these forms.
