Hey everyone, this is a question based off curiosity with an open ended but objective answer. How close do you think Unscripted can get you to the individual ideal of freedom that we can call sovereignty - in the same sense of the word sovereignty as we apply it to countries? Like as in $10M vs being a hypothetical owner of a small island country. I know this will ironically depend on the country you are living Unscripted in, among other factors. And you can even think more generally as a money vs power debate. But I want Fastlaners' perspective on this.
Thank you!

I don't believe...one can ever be completely sovereign...

you may own big corporation,or a territory and do what you want...

but whatever you do... you still need to abide some rules...and still you will get questioned..

The Rules could be the cultural sentiments in your organisation..

Or The Rules imposed by government,
Or if not government, there are international laws...

And even if you manage to be not effected by international laws...

There's Nature...if you do anything against it's interest...it is ready to question...

The world will never behave the way you want it...
There are many variables involved
.

But yeah... money, power and Ownership will bring to you many shiny thing...like
1) Autonomy
2) Financial Peace
3)Ease in doing whatever you want.
4) Altering you environment as per you vision.
5) Respect from others... especially from your relatives..lol

again..many things here too...

I hope i understood your question...

Wow, it's amazing how you jotted down such variegated intuitions, that too without using technical words.
Of course, the difficulties in achieving total sovereignty are evident. From below, your genes will continue to punish you, from above social groups haha.
My interest here was inspired by the lockdown situation. While it's supposed to be for everyone's good, it would be great if there was a way around the restrictions personally - without harming others of course. And wondering just what money could achieve in terms of doing the same - overriding these restrictions with one's own rules at one's discretion, of course both morally and practically (say, breaking a rule more generally because you have the option to pay a fine for it- ah money!). What would be the limits of such power given ultimately the government's monopolistic access to printing money and the military? How far one could go? Just curious. Would be great if you could elucidate this in our local context assuming you're in India.
All of this only on a personal level, of course, which amounts to the ability to control one's own life that is- with minimal interference to and from others. That's it. Basically, in complex systems, large entities like governments and corporations are highly restrictive of individual agency- the kind that one can master solo or even in small groups.

There is one...
I don't know about the world...but we Indians have already discovered that millenniums ago. .

Yoga
Where, you become extremely peaceful and conscious in terms of body, mind, emotions and energies..

I believe... it's great kind of freedom...

(Note - by yoga..i do not mean just 'bending your body in some impossible postures'....it is a vast subject)

Would be great if you could elucidate this in our local context assuming you're in India.
In present..india has 3 main 'big things'..
1) Bollywood
2) Politics
3) Cricket
Be famous on any fields...and baam.. you're 'god 2.0'...

But i believe...in future, indian public is going to see much craze for..
"emerging entrepreneurs",
"OTT and Internet Superstars"
"Cultural and Spiritual patriotism"
"Sensible media"..

These are some ways for an indian to have that freedom..
(I don't claim these to be 100% true....these are my personal opinions..)

I'd love to hear yours too...

You said Bollywood, politics and cricket. What about successful entrepreneurs, let alone billionaire business tycoons (preferably the anonymous or non-famous ones)? I mean this class of people should be at the very top in terms of status in a place like the US, but for India which I suppose is somewhere b/w the US and Russia /China in terms of capitalistic/corporate vs political/governmental dominance, how much power you think one can realistically wield with money alone without having to get into politics?

But yeah otherwise you're on the spot with yoga (and I'd add meditation), and of course whatever is at the very edge of technology and possibilities, engineering and physics, and more generally the unknown unknowns - if approached externally.

The root of the problem is that we are in the middle of this hierarchical organization of life - from cells to individuals to ecosystems - which sets structural limits on how much power can a layer wield over the higher layers without succumbing/sacrificing itself or destroying its very habitat. And it just sucks to be a sentient being in the middle where it just feels like we should be writing the rules instead of diluted social structures, just like we don't want to be bossed around by our cells. But I suppose we can overwrite nature as the conscious representatives of the universe, provided we do so with care. There have to be ways to achieve that, but only moving forward in the direction of creating ever more abundance in this spacious universe, and hence minimizing conflicts over limited resources, and perhaps politics too. But human greed might get in the way haha.

Thank you, though! It has been a rather delightful discussion.
