So my job is litigation analyst so i see confidential law stuff sometimes.
Yesterday i came accross a law case dealing with New York upstate fracking.
I listened to some audio files of calls between some HIGH level people with ties to government and the industry.
It went something like this:
dude 1: "so the governor did not lift moratorium on fracking in upstate new york"
dude 2: "this governor?"
dude 1: "yea there was fracking studies done with inconclusive results and it was deemed too risky to allow fracking now"
dude 2: "Ridiculous"
dude 1: "yea pretty insane how one little decision is preventing a whole industry from taking off"
dude 2: "yea that's crazy"
They were talking so NONCHALANT about it, even though fracking has been shown to destroy the land and the chemicals leak into peoples water supply, and then u get flamethrowers coming out of faucets.
I mean fracking is FASTLANE if you can get into it, but it's so damn unethical. These people on the phone call just gave ZERO SHIT about how fracking would affect people and has affected people already... all they could focus on was the potential of the fracking industry, the money to be made, nothing personal just business.
Based on the stuff i listened to it's just a matter of time until they get the right people into the government to start fracking in new york state.
