I understand the criticism from those who say not to pick based on beauty alone, but I wouldn't discount beauty either
I've dated all kinds, and I've never seen the world open up for me like it does when I'm accompanied by a beautiful woman. All of the sudden things are brighter, people are more friendly, service is better at restaurants, cashiers give us free stuff at the grocery store, the guys at the car wash actually work harder to get the car more clean, tables suddenly open up at packed restaurants when everyone else has a 30 minute wait, etc etc... And the best part is that beautiful women come with a lot of beautiful friends, so before you know it -- you are surrounded by beauty.
For those of us who weren't born into it, and haven't experienced it -- It's kinda neat hanging out with someone beautiful and getting a glimpse into the world they've lived in for their entire lives. Enlightening even... Makes going back to dating someone that is "Just ok" kind of difficult. haha Wish I was kidding about this... It would be like me switching from Jack Daniels back to Old Crow -- it's a tough taste to reaquire.

I guess I've found this to be true somewhat, but it isn't really that important - I mean if someone is bending over backwards because you brought a cute girl.. well, he might have different realities.
I want a girl who is cute and doesn't know it - or better yet does and it humble about it, realizing that she got lucky with genetics, carries it well.
I mean, how stupid are we as guys to relate looks to anything? as in: oh, she is hot must be nice/smart/high maintenance.
