Too late to start a PAAS company?

I'm looking for opinions on a B2B company for hosting computer software. I've started a business with one client and am making enough to pay all the bills to keep the company going (no salary for me of course). My concentration right now is the Oracle database and other Oracle software since those are an outgrowth of my career thus far.

There are large companies (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud) that do these types of hosting already, but I've noticed a few things. AWS and Azure aren't particularly geared towards the Oracle database and as you need more resources the prices grow exponentially. Oracle Cloud just ends up being expensive right off the bat, which sends people looking at competitors, even if the end price is comparable or less than AWS or Azure. The biggest disadvantage sited by the one or 2 potential business clients that actually talk to me is the ultimate lack of control they have with any of these companies. However, they won't consider going with anyone else because of the name recognition.

My one client is only using us to host a disaster recovery copy of their database and hasn't considered using us for their production system. I think we offer a good middle-ground as we built our hardware specifically to work with the Oracle software and to minimize the Oracle licensing costs. With our size, we're more than willing to work with our clients.

Although I'm enthusiastic about my services, I'm starting to think I might be fooling myself about how big of a need I'm actually fulfilling. This is why I wanted to reach out here and get some non-biased feedback on the idea. What do you think?
