I have been on this forum for a good couple of weeks now and absolutely love interacting here! Reading some of the GOLD posts motivated me to start self publishing and I am getting really stuck in with it!
I think I need a little advice/direction in regard to my current job. I am a full time waiter/barman in a restaurant chain in the UK and recently offered management training but kindly declines. Non of my colleagues share zero interest in talking about running a business/becoming successful and of course that is expected based on the industry they work in but man, the place is truly awful to work in. The restaurant's target demographic is families looking for a cheap meal out so I cannot even hold decent conversation with the guests as most are simply chavs ( Do look it up if you're not from the UK!)
I am wondering, does anyone out there have any tips that can allow me to somewhat improve and enhance the fastlane mindset while working is such a mundane non-fastlane environment!? Of course, this job will not be longterm as I'm hoping the self publishing side business will earn enough to live purely based off of that income and then focus on other ideas, but while I am working, it would be good to maybe take something away from it.
Thank you!
