Politics aside, I'd like to have a discussion about tiktok shop.
Has anyone sold or purchased products using this marketplace?
If feels like Amazon FBA in 2010. Tons of generic, junk unbranded items. It's a perfect setup to launch a product with strong branding and sweep the table.
Supplement and beauty/wellness products are currently the top performers. Businesses in these categories and their affiliates are raking in sales. Physical product categories are highly untapped at this time.
For those who are unfamiliar, tiktok shop allows you to sell products, fulfill the orders yourself, and customers can make purchases without having to leave the app. Along with the easy, streamlined purchasing, tiktok users can generate content and spread the word while you pay a small commission for sales. We all know the power of ugc in 2025.
I plan to leverage my current following and launch a branded product line in a niche that is mostly saturated already on other platforms. Branding will be geared towards creating a cult-like following.
I will market the products using my own content, and if other users want to make content and grow the brand even more, that's just an extra perk.
I forsee other platforms following suit, and this will become the future of e commerce.
Do you think my opinion is far-off and I need to take my blinders off?
