so i read this article --> Japanese Internet Reacts To BBC's Dying Nation Claimsand it seems that Japanese guys have problems socializing and meeting women and this is a problem on massive scale. So, why not sell sex dolls or sex toys to make profit. Some even started to make advanced robotic wives!!

Because learning is a hard-sell. Info-products imply learning. Websites teaching guys how to ... imply learning.

And it's easier to buy a natural size sex doll than to learn how to get a women. That's why the porn industry is a multi-billion industry per year.

Go to any library and you'll find enough books to change your life around. You can learn anything from German to how to build a nuclear reactor at home. However, the best sold books are "How to get rich in three simple ways" or "Ten Ways To Find Your Dream Date".

Instant gratification sells. It's human nature and not a market trend. What's happening in Japan or in Europe or anywhere in the world is a result of this principle. And if you want to bet on something, bet on the fact that people will always look for quick and superficial fixes on their problems.

In the end, it's easier to adjust to the hardship of a hard living (no women, sex dolls, porn) than doing the things that you must do to change your life around (learning how to seduce).

The problem with teaching these things in Japan is that there is a whole subculture called the hikikomori that stays in their parents house and never leaves their room. It has become acceptable in a small way to reserve ones love for inanimate objects instead of girls. In America, there is more of a 'manly complex' where sex is seen as awesome and pretty easy to get, and if it isn't easy for you to get then you better be paying $2000 for a seminar teaching you how to get girls. Most single young people in the US have had sex at least once in their lifetime and a pretty large slice of them have active sex lives. It's not just that teaching is a 'hard-sell', but there are culture differences to take into account as well.

There are guys in Japan that love American modern pop culture, so why not capitalize on it that way? "How to Get Girls: The American Way" or something. White guys get major poon over there, and not just because they are white. :smxB:

Having an active sex life doesn't actually require much hard work. But you are right: one will face rejection a lot (somewhere around 85-90% of the time will be rejection). Some guys say that's the fun of the game. Others blame it on external factors like bitch testing and not using 'kino escalation' enough. Not only that, but it does require a bit of a shift in mindset and that itself can take a lot of conditioning.

When it comes to actual social skills, however, building those up from a zero foundation absolutely takes a lot of hard work. This is the problem with a lot of these Japanese men: they were always outcast from society in some way. This has become a rather widespread cultural phenomenon (although not a majority problem) in Japan, and these men have begun to love the way of life that many people, myself included, would consider sad, lonely and unfulfilling. That kind of reminded me of how World of Warcraft is used as an Adwords keyword for people who are trying to sell people tips on how to get laid.

It may work in the West, but I dunno if it would work in the East. Those men who live a solitary life had pretty marred childhoods; they probably didn't get very good grades in school, they were probably not accepted by their peers, they had no job prospects... I don't think telling them that 'confidence is the way to getting a job/money, women and respect' may be the way to go.

Although pick-up lines don't work, how about an app that can help guys out when they are confused at what to say next in a conversation with a girl? This could help build social skills as well as get guys laid (if they aren't too focused on the app itself, that is) One could use it with their mobile device while they are wearing headphones or a Bluetooth headset. It could use verbal cues to steer the user in the right direction for conversation and allow the user to press a button if he is confused as to what to do to break the awkward silence. I mean, no app like this could be perfect but I'm pretty sure desperate guys would try almost anything.

But my belief is there are 2 markets. those who want a robot girl who will not judge them and answer there every whim or those who want the real thing and are willing to learn through guided practice. The latter would be easier yet one would have to understand the female Japanese psyche which would take alot of study and first hand experience to yield credible results.

You could even do it as a variant on the 900-numbers-- so there would actually be a human on the other end, typing or talking into a voder that disguised her voice (making it sound mechanical). Make it like a video game-- gets more and more difficult, and the voice/image gets more real over time, as you get better.

The Japanese are very liberal about sex. The seppuku tradition is usually reserved for those who have either committed heinous crimes or dishonored themselves or their family by not achieving the standard set by their parents (e.g. middle school kids have been known to kill themselves over the pressure of the exams). They are not ashamed of their tentacle porn otherwise it would be illegal to produce.

The hikikomori (the apartment-dwellers) actually love their lifestyle, so they would be more likely to buy a sex doll or robot that has the dimensions of a real woman but does not do the things that human girlfriends do (e.g. bitch, moan, complain, flirt with other guys, cheat, etc). However, you could probably sell PUA/self-help stuff to the younger crowd (I'm not talking early 20s here, I'm talking 14 or 15 year old!) and they would be likely to buy it, especially if it could convince them that it would take them further in life (like job prospects, securing a wife, doing better in school).
