No, they're for 2009. Did I put it in the wrong place?

Edit: OK, I just went back and re-read the original post. I have edited accordingly.

Note from teacher: Jill does not follow directions well.

got through a troubling year as far as relationships go. We are now strong as a couple and are getting married in april

having the heartbreak of my step mother dying has really refueled my drive towards financial freedom. She was an entrepeneur also. Owned florists shops all her adult life. It made me realize how little time we actually have here. And each second wasted is a second gone.

watched my daughter mature from a high spirited child to a young woman. Although still a preteen, i am capturing glimpses of a blossoming young woman underneath that childish innocence.

managed to keep my JOB despite the rough economy.

Increased my knowledge of forex about five fold over the previous year.

Built two websites

Just about finished putting up the finishing touches to launch latest project

learned vbullentin basics

Wow! Let's see. So much accomplished. I started to make a list and am REALLY feeling good about 2009 now.

1. Moved from small town hell to metropolitan area where I actually have a shot at growing my business

2. Redesigned my website, my focus and my marketing plans

3. My radio show on BlogTalkRadio made such an impression, I've now been picked up by Bitwire Media and will be a central part of their business channel focus

4. Changed the structure of the business from Sole Prop to LLC

5. Participated in several networking/online team events, gave workshops and am planning more for 2010.

6. Got most of my first book written

Lots more, but those are highlights

This is a community of people who get things done.

I'm amazed that more haven't posted to this thread.

Read the first post, and try it.

I've been doing this for 25 years now-- it really puts the year into perspective--- AND-- it shows you how far you've come.

Remember---- this is PERSONAL-- not business. So anything that happened to you this year is important.

C'mon! TAKE ACTION!!!

For me it's been a year of learning. I have learned that I can survive when all around me seems to be in chaos. I have learned that during economic upheavals, someone is still profiting. I have seen that there are two sides to most stories and which side you see is usually a matter of choice. I have learned that your life today is a direct result of choices you made days, weeks, months, and years ago. I have learned that most people would rather complain than do something to correct a problem.

I have learned that I have been blessed to meet the best minds the internet has to offer. I don't mean just business minds, I am talking problem solving, solutions oriented minds. If you were at B&P 2009 you witnessed that solutions seeking attitude. I have been blessed in 2009 with my health, friends, business associates, relatives, and students. My students are a big part of my why, why do I get out of bed each morning. It's an awesome feeling to find your why.

The best part is, to me, that 2010 is going to be even better than 2009.

I wish you all a prosperous and peaceful 2010.

Although on the business side of things I wasn't happy with my "performance" (or lack thereof) 2009 did end good for me with respect to health -- and health is the most important thing. I've been feeling better and even been hitting the gym again, sometimes 5X a week!! I think I learned that health precludes any kind of productivity or motivation for me when it comes down to business goals. Nothing just doesn't seem as important.

MJ-

I was just thinking about you last night as I bumped this.

Wasn't there a rough draft for a *booK* that you finished writing in 2009?

I know that's been a HUGE goal for you-- and a real learning experience!

Yes, thanks Russ for reminding me .... how could I forget? And now I got to start a publishing company -- its two different ball games ... like learning to build a bed-n-breakfast with your own lumber and tools ... then trying to run the place! :smxB:

It definitely uncharted waters for me which makes it oh so fun!

-Able to finally realized my goals in life with nothing holding me back.

That is my year in review. I know you said not to do this but, here are my resolutions:
-Get into a healthy workout/eating routine, AND STICK TO IT!
(try to cut out partying/drinking if possible)
-Figure out a JOB (ugghhhhh) or side activity to raise some money.
-Buy my first rental property with ^^ that money or some creative real estate options.
-Obtain my broker's license in Real Estate.

All obtainable, and I am on my way so far!

Um, Runum, dude, ya know I love ya, but this is not a progress thread.

Never has been.

It's a "count your blessings" thread. You look back on the past year, and reflect where you were, and where your journey took you over the past year. :)

Those posting their progress are better going here:
