Definitely. But it's all about this illusion, isn't it? Beginners think it's good because they lack the experience. If nobody calls them out, average stuff becomes good enough stuff.
The only way average stuff becomes good stuff is if it results in a better customer experience or more sales. Average AI slop doesn't naturally progress to that.
There is always a mean/average to compare against, so you have to become better than the average. Beginners can do that with AI, sure, but it'll take more effort. As the old saying goes... hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
That's a binary way to look at it.
Take two guys, one a great talker, another a semi-autistic nerd. Give them both 1,000 leads to call over the next 4 weeks. Are you saying the great talker will find it as hard as the nerd? No way. In fact, after a few calls, or maybe even during the first one, the talker will say there's nothing hard in it (even if he's not an excellent salesman yet).
Is this also not a binary outlook? Very black and white. On the other hand, the semi-autistic nerd might send the world's best follow-up emails & summaries immediately following a call, which might be a major tool to help close the sale. He might call 10 leads and be way more likely to act/assess/adjust, do his research, and then call the next 10 leads - taking notes on what works and what doesn't. By lead 100, he has a new process and a new formula. Meanwhile, the outgoing person just naturally relies on their charisma to close the sale, and never assumes that there is a way that they can actually increase their percentage points, because they are "already good at it." By call 800, the autistic person has surpassed the outgoing person on their ability to close the sale.
The point of the matter is this. Introverted, extroverted, proficient or not, showing up and putting in effort is really the only factor that matters. You cannot control outcomes, you can only control output. If you consistently have a high output, you can assess and adjust. If you are not in motion, you cannot possibly try to theorycraft your way into a business simply because you don't have data points on what's working and what's not.
To that end @MTF, I ask you: what is your output currently?
