It's a lazy weekend here and I have been playing this online for the last 1-2 hours.

It is actually quite a lot of fun...

CASHFLOW® Classic—How Fast Can You Become A Millionaire?

Anyone else ever play this online?

I think I remember some older threads about the physical offline version of this.

Do people who have played this think it is a good tool for teaching real principles?

For some reasons, I kept winning the game (Breaking into Fast Track) with a good real estate sale or timely stock price soar.

Was expecting my rental income to snowball over, but that was a very boring process-nothing exponential.

I remember going all in into one electric company stock when it was $1 per pop, and then it blew up to $40 or more 2-4 rounds later, and I sold for immense profit. I think I also had some stock splits to multiply my loot further than expected!

Only one time I got a wealth boost from anything related to entrepreneurship, when I got a card that told me my start-up company was to be bought out of the blue.

That’s why I feel the RDPD game places very less emphasis on entrepreneurship, and more on traditional investing. It didn’t make sense that the start-up card didn’t ‘evolve’ over time to start turning profits to add to my cashflow. It seemed to forever stay dormant until the acquisition-sale card got triggered.

Me thinks some ‘boosters’ like additional marketing or joint ventures could be inducted, to improve business-related assets.

So...not really a close-to-life game. But it’s still fun for kids and newbies.

But it does have very important lessons-especially on the cost of our choices.

if you get too many kids or divorced, your wealth gets cut.

And if you chose a STEM-related or skilled occupation in the start, you begin with a sizable income that really helps to pick up stock or even a small duplex. So I guess some ‘Slowlane’ education and jobs help haha.

I used to play the 2.0 version - enjoyed it, quite a decent game.

Someone should contact the licence owner and ask them for permission to turn it into an android / iOS app and web app - sell digital products inside the app and you could make a mint.

Ya amazing idea. An app version of this would do very well.

Yeah. I was looking for a Monopoly-ish game on the App Store, and even the paid versions perform poorly, according to the reviews. Blocking people out randomly, even on multiplayer sessions.

I keyed in another search keyword 'money game', and only got a bunch of casino games and lazy press-coin shite.

BTW, speaking of keeping digital content inside an app, there's something called Learnistic.
Ben Settle was pimping it to the list (I'm on it) since he's friends with the guy behind it, and he even had one copywriting app made with the platform.

Had bunches of free podcasts in the Ben Settle app. There's also a paid section, so you could do the same. (I haven't finished watching the free stuff haha).
