9/2/2024 - Call to Action
My name is Max, I am 19 years old at a community college in Los Angeles. I love music and my dream is to record my own and tour off of it. I've gone with the idea that I'll become a therapist as my practical career because it seemed stable enough to give me time to work on music, but I know that isn't realistic. I've been sick with COVID the last couple of days, and while doing my once-typical YouTube crawl, I stumbled across a video by Jordan Welch, who advocated for reading The Millionaire Fastlane . I went into the description, bought it on Kindle, and had finished it by the end of the day.
Since then, I have joined this forum. Let me just say I am more motivated than I have been in a long time. This is a feeling that I have chased and chased but only now has it come to me. I want to keep this momentum cooking for as long as possible, so I'm hitting the ground running.
Current Circumstances
CENTS Requirements: Met, as far as I'm concerned.

Parting Thoughts
Questions:
I am excited to start this journey. I know I need to work with what I have, and I think I have a lot inside. I won't quit ever. This is my promise. Thank you to this community, I haven't talked with many of you, but the few I have have reflected that this is nothing but support and positivity. See you all next week.

Current Circumstances
- Live with dad and his gf for ~$750/mo.
- Training for a solid serving gig. I have yet to receive my first paycheck, but as I understand it I will be making $250-$300 a night 3-4 times a week. Not bad, not amazing.
- Taking three classes at school with a relatively light workload (so far). I had $8k saved up when I came here and paying for those out of pocket quickly brought me down to about a third of that. I have $2.5k now, which I think is an alright sum, but I'm debating refunding the classes to make back that $4.5k I lost.
- I have no car: fewer payments but limited transportation.
- I have no friends here. I just moved to LA, but having limited distractions is good.
- I have a lot of free time.
- ≥ $20m/yr income
- Live in a penthouse in Manhattan
- Lakehouse in Maine
- A sizeable collection of great fine art
- Home studio
- Travel minimum 3 months out of the year
- Freedom
+ Smart
+ Creative
+ Excellent with people
+ Sober
+ Active
+ Driven
+ Always learning
- Prone to procrastination and distraction
- Overthinking
- Questionable integrity
- Doubtful at times
- Low financial literacy
