Hello everyone!
I don't know if this is the right topic to discuss here, and I apologize in advance if I do, but the company I'm thinking of has a very good chance of putting me on the fast lane.
A little context. Since the company is planned for Central Asia, the market is still developing. I'm betting that if I enter now, I'll have 5-7 years of growth ahead until saturation, and then a market renaissance.
The company is, quite frankly, a sex shop retailer, which I've dubbed "love boutiques." The cultural aspect of my country is such that anything related to sex is taboo, causing rejection, and blushing, like you did in high school when you kissed the girl you liked. The onset of sexual activity, on average, occurs later (I've found this out empirically, plus I've looked at the research on the topic). So, I decided that the company wouldn't sell toys and consumables per se, but rather the emotions that arise from the purchasing process, improving one's sex life, and developing a deeper relationship with a partner.
I'm currently working on the product mix (the company will be built on category management principles), and I understand that any advice would be helpful. Yes, there are recognized, large brands like Satisfyer and the like, but still, without statistics, creating a product mix is like guesswork. Yes, mistakes in product mix and snacks are inevitable, but I'd still like to minimize them.
If you have experience working or running a business in this field, I'd be very grateful for your feedback. For my part, I'll be regularly writing posts about how I'm doing, the state of the company, what we've accomplished, and where we've gone wrong.
P.S. If you have any acquaintances who work for brands, I would be very grateful if you could share their contact information in a private message.
