Every now and then we see questions about patents here, but get few answers.
Today i have been checking if a patent exists for what i'm attempting, and found the following site useful:
http://www.bpmlegal.com/howtoterm.html
It gives explanations on patent duration and references this site for checking if patent is still in effect:
http://portal.uspto.gov/pair/PublicPair
While briefly looking for existing patents i found these sites:
From what i gathered so far if nothing is found on sites like those (including USPTO and espacenet) sites nor on Bing and Google searches, you can at least count on 'good faith' defense.
I hope you find no patents for your endeavors, or at least find ones that already expired (i did).
