So, over the past year I've really changed my life around. I went from almost getting fired from my job to now realizing the fast lane is where I had to go and taking action.
I thought taking action would be difficult and you would have no idea how to move forward, but every step of the way if there is a barrier, there is some answer on google that gets me through or some action I can take.
Here are my action steps so far:
-Start a health routine and change my diet: lost 70 lbs
-Stayed consistent with my weight and removed all sweets from my diet
-Found two niche products to sell
-Registered an LLC
-Opened Business Checking Account
-Bought 2 domains and hosting package
-Opened wholesale accounts with 4 different companies for two different stores
-Worked out an agreement to use a brick and mortor store in my industry as a store to be able to get products from suppliers that require storefronts. Dont let that stop you from entering the space.
-Hired person in phillippines on freelancer.com to import my products onto my site so I could work on higher end issues with the site
-Bought Merchant Account for Credit Card Processing on site and checkout service
-Read all the time when Im not working which is giving me motivation to then keep working.
-Having a meeting with a friend I went to school with on Saturday to come up with an idea for a company to import products from south america and sell them here. (this one looks like there could be big potential and if there is I will start a progress thread on this one)
-Trying to figure out with another friend how we can use a 3D printer in a business somehow.
-Helping a friend release his own mobile app that he had outsourced
I'm still working at a job, but working to use anything I learn at that job to hopefully be out of there by the end of the year. Everyone is trying to come up with the next huge idea. Through MJ's book and Choose Yourself, I've learned that the idea doesnt necessarily have to be unique and is worth nothing without action. I hope to have one of my sites launched by the end of next week.
I've learned so much more now by taking action than I could have from reading any of the forum posts or reading it in books. I feel like I can contact almost any distributor or manufacturer now and move forward with it. Just trying to build up some business credit now so I can start to get net30 and payments like that with suppliers.
There's no turning back now. This week I had my review with the boss for my slowlane job, and I am vowing that I will not be around next year for another review where I get to hear the bs company goals and see how my job does not fit those goals even though you think it does.
I just wanted to post this for anyone that is on the fence. I havent been posting here too much recently as I've tried to stay busy with these sites. I've only taken small steps so far, but everyday I am trying to unlearn all the crap society wants me to think and do. I hope it motivates someone else to take action, because damn, actually doing something is the best I have felt in a long long time.
