Hi guys, happy New Year (it's 22:40 here). Everyone's opinion is welcome on the following question, question that will help others down the road, too :
I am going to be as brief as I can. My current business idea (that's not yet implemented) involves hiring freelancers to provide service to my clients. Let's say my service is painting houses (made up service) and I run an online business that offers painting services for certain prices. I would then have a list of painters (candidates) for the job in various country parts, ready to take any task, whenever necessary.
Let's say I got an offer to paint an interior of a house for 400 Benjamins. I then go to my list, select candidate(s) that live nearest and are available and send them to do the task ASAP for 200 Benjamins. My concern is that the customer could get my employees phone number (or employee negotiate cheaper rates with the customer - if the customer rings him/her instead of my company in the future) and bypass me.
I know business involves risks and one has to know how to leverage them. I am simply asking if there's a foolproof strategy to leverage this risk? I am relatively young (23) and think that I will learn a lot down the road... I am just looking for some input from other members who might have dealt with similar situations in their business(es).
Regards,
Almantas
