Thanks. For people like me who can't read charts at all but still want to make some profits in a sideway market, would it be a good idea to put

1) some money in when it's red
2) then wait for the share price to rise
3) then sell a portion to lock in the gains and transfer the gains out
4) then keep the rest of the capital and profits intact, then repeat 1) again?

You can just google about it and learn in 20 minutes about support and resistance.

No need complicated patterns.

If it’s not obvious it’s not worth trading.

If something is keep trading between a price range the top price is resistance and bottom price is support. It will work for the foreseeable time for some time until it stops working.
