That dude has seen and been part of some serious chit that he can't talk about and his milkshake world probably is his therapy. Id say he is making a good side buck as well. While shorts don't pay much he probably makes a few thousand a month and he also is using the channel to move his milkshake book. Another thing I find interesting is he always starts the video with the end product and when watching the viewer doesn't even realize they are watching a second view as the ending goes into a replay. Not sure if that is a big Youtuber trick but he has pulled it off efficiently.

Looking cool man! My recommendation is DRASTICALLY up the pace as soon as you can. Reps Reps Reps.

I filmed SEVEN videos today ( I will setup two to post per a day so I can use the coming days for other things). Six for my current channel and one for a new channel. I absolutely did not start off that way. But it worked. I committed to one video a day, it was a nightmare for awhile - but I got a bit faster. Then I committed to two videos a day - it also sucked - but that commitment taught me to get faster and faster at making videos ( and the videos were HIGHER quality) to the point that I filmed these six videos and edited them as well in probably under 2 hours total.

I would HIGHLY recommend you post another video tomorrow and everyday after that for at least a few months.

Youtube does not admit it but the algorithm ABSOLUTELY rewards quantity. You will hear examples given my youtube gurus of massive youtubers who do not post often but on the mid to small level 1000% youtube responds to frequency very strongly. As soon as the channel starts you want to show youtube you are someone who is going to be making a lot of content. That way youtube is like "cool if we send traffic and they like him, he will keep producing and they will keep watching".

My friend helped me a lot - he told me "what is the limit to youtube - how many youtube videos are you allowed to post?" Me"...?"

Him " NO LIMIT - you can post 1,000 awful videos" - that took of all the pressure it does not matter how many bad videos you post or videos that get no views. ( not to say they will be bad - just there is NO pressure).

So you post tons of content that is step 1)
Step 2 - is you start looking at works and what does not work. Get into it in detail.

I recommend the book "the YouTube formula" there is a bit of fluff but it's description of flexibility is helpful - then the stuff about data and charts is crucial.

I say for sure post everyday - that is how you get good. Also use the posting as motivation to take aggressive action on your topic. Over time you can experiment and do "stunt" type videos.

It is like a funnel. You eventually can make some more entertainment focused videos. That has more of a general audience - but since more people are interested and click on it - youtube gives you more reach overall - so you also get more of your target audience. Then your target audience may click on your more tutorial type videos.

Example :

Mass appeal entertainment video: I tried knocked on 100 doors trying to sell newspapers at 62!" ( no idea if this is good - just an example)
Lots of people watch it - you get 100,00 views. Most of them are not interested in really learning to make money

But you have a video " how to learn sales in your 60s" maybe 5% of the viewers who saw your mass appeal video ( who maybe would not have found this more niche video) click on this sales video you get 5,000 views ( instead of like 200)

Now of those 5,000 = 5 people sign up for a $300 course you sell - there you go a nice $1500 .

That type of thing if that makes sense. Don't worry about that for now - just saying that to illustrate that if you need to make videos that are not directly teaching your topic that is fine. Also have flexibility - some people start a channel and it ends up something totally different but pays the bills or beyond $$$ ( youtube formula will talk about that a bit)

My next video will be a "re-do" of the one I just published since I had a few technical issues like trouble with the teleprompter and microphone, and I didn’t get enough practice in. My soft deadline is October 15, but I’m balancing some big priorities right now, with one wrapping up by October 31, so I’ll aim for quality over speed.

And thanks for double-subbing me! I didn’t catch the meaning at first, but your two-channel subscription really made my day!

I’ve heard similar advice about publishing frequently, so I’m looking forward to applying that once I’m ready.

Thanks again for all the encouragement—this has given me a lot to think about moving forward!

What deadline have you set for taking action on making this wealth?

Thanks for the "good job" and for subbing to my channel. It will be a while before I can make another video. I just published this one because I'd set a goal of publishing my first video by September 19. Good to hear that we both have good taste when it comes to how to wear our hair!

I've made a ridiculously ambitious goal for my business to make a million dollars in gross revenue in one year. I discussed this in a thread that I posted last weekend, "My Million Dollar Weekend: One Year to Make It Happen." So, I've already started working on it and will continue to do so! Thanks, again for asking!

I can see what you mean about it affecting that natural, personal vibe that YouTube’s all about. I hadn’t thought about it that way, but it makes a lot of sense.

I’m going to give your suggestion a shot and try using bullet points instead of the teleprompter. I think it’ll help me get more comfortable in front of the camera as I build out more content. I really appreciate the advice—it’s got me rethinking how I approach my on-camera presence. Thanks again!"

If so, what are you going to talk about to generate the views?

Yes, I do mean that my business income will come from YouTube ad revenue and sponsorships. I also plan to use the platform to build auxiliary revenue streams, such as writing a book, launching products, or offering paid services.

While YouTube will generate ad revenue and sponsorships, I see it as a stepping stone, not my ultimate business. YouTube aligns with most aspects of the C.E.N.T.S. framework, but it falls short on 'control.' As a YouTuber, I’m dependent on YouTube’s platform and policies, which could change. That’s why I don’t view YouTube as my ultimate business—that and the fact that I’m not sure YouTube can provide the level of income that other business ventures can. I’ll focus on growing the channel first, but once it’s self-sufficient, I plan to diversify into ventures where I have more control and income potential.

My channel is focused on senior citizens who aren't rich but want to be. I'll be sharing the path I’m currently on, as I transition from being a poor senior citizen to a wealthy one. The idea is to invite viewers to follow along, learn from my mistakes, and potentially start a similar journey themselves. The goal is to show that financial success is achievable, regardless of age or starting point.

I posted my first YouTube video on September 19, just in time for my self-imposed deadline. It’s really rough, as I fell behind on my schedule to publish it, but I consider it a 'first draft' and plan to revise and upload a polished version later. The video is only about a minute long, so feel free to take a quick look.

If you're interested in hearing more about the channel's focus, you can check it out here. Anytime you come across videos like this about being a successful YouTuber, please share them with me like you did with this one. Thanks so much! Dave

Yes, I published my first video on September 19, which was the deadline I set for myself to get the channel started. The video isn’t as polished as I’d hoped, and it’s only about a minute long. Even though it’s not perfect, I decided to publish it anyway because meeting that deadline was important to me. There is currently no journey.

I ask you all these questions because you don’t have any compelling content to make videos about. You can’t make videos of stuff you are going to do. People aren’t going to watch that, they want to see videos of action taken.
