Hello everyone. Please note that since this is my first post, I'm still getting "acquainted" with the forums. I'm not sure if this thread will be met with any sort of response or if there is anyone who has the experience that I'm looking for. Regardless, I have a question to pose.
I've been involved in earning via the Internet for a number of years. It has never been very serious, but I've become fed up with relying on other people for money (i.e. working for someone). I'm still very young (in high school), but I thought now would be a good time to take a leap and start my first serious website. I wanted to choose a topic that I was very comfortable with and had some prior knowledge of.
Therefore, I decided to look into starting my own Flash games website. I've read up about sponsoring games, I've tried my hand at Flash and Actionscript 3 for a couple weeks, I've had quite a bit of prior experience with web design, and I even have a few online friends who develop games. But should I try to make this idea a reality?

1. I have money to invest. It isn't currently much, but I doubt I'll need more than $100 for my first month (I already have a domain, hosting, some plans for advertising, and a list of possible games to use).
2. I know that there is an audience that is always playing Flash games. Even with the push from Flash to HTML5, I doubt this will effect games much in the near future.
3. I have no one to work with. I do enjoy working on projects myself, but this will be much more of a serious endeavor compared to what I've done in the past.

What I generally know:
Sponsoring games is the best advertising. I have the money to sponsor small developers, and hopefully this idea of "small sponsorships" is enough to have my website snowball into something more.
Tl;dr - I want to start a website for Flash games. I'd be looking to sponsor small games, and hopefully that would be enough to bring me enough unique visitors to make this a profitable project. Does anyone have any insight?
