This forum is heaven on earth for every aspiring entrepreneur, period.

First: I'm not a business owner (yet). In fact, I'm a typical young wantrepreneur that has dreams and goals but is scared to death since achieving those goals seems beyond daunting and impossible. How can I possibly achieve something so big? This feeling sucks, even more so when you have no one who understands your worries and frustration. I often wondered if this is the first step to becoming a true entrepreneur. Facing your fears? Overcoming obstacles? Throw your insecurities into the trash and create the life that you want?

Even though I was paralyzed by fear, obstacles and insecurities, there was a moment in the last few months where I had this sudden feeling of freedom.

Freedom? I had been surrounded by negative thoughts for months and my financial situation, my knowledge, my experience and my ideas were still the same. How could I possibly feel free again?

The answer, for me, was one of the most liberating things I've ever experienced and looking back now, I'm incredibly thankful for these few months of negativity. It showed me something that many people will probably never experience in their entire lives.

In this moment I realized that all my fears, my insecurities, my worries were a part of me. They were mine and I owned them. My mind had been feeding me negative thoughts for so long but now I realized that all of those thoughts and feelings were a part my character and my growth and that I was the only one who could change them for the better.

I had been guilty of comparing my life to the lives of others around me. Some of my friends started to study medicine and others studied law. They were progressing and I was not. It sucked.
But comparing yourself to others will never make you happy. If you think that you have a better life than your friend, you will eventually start to realize that another friend is way ahead of you. It's a never-ending cycle of pain, pressure and mental insanity.

What do you gain by comparing yourself to others anyway? Why would I be happy if I knew that I have a better life than one of my friends? Why would I judge another life by my own standards and make my friend look bad? It's actually ridiculous.

However, in that moment I realized that I was living. I had always thought that I couldn't achieve success because I pictured it as a privilige bestowed to a small circle of people. What made me special enough to join this group? Why would I succeed and others fail?

Wait..does it even matter if others fail? Why should the failure of them define my odds of success? If I let failure influence my way of thinking, shouldn't I investigate the reasons for their failure? Were they driven by money? Did they not work as hard as they should? Why would I worry about these stories? I have the power to do right what they did wrong. I'm responsible for my success and the stories of failures exist to learn instead of projecting them onto your journey.

I realized that success cannot be measured in a broad perspective. It's such a personal thing for everyone but most people distance themselves from their inner self, their soul and their unique character to look for answers in other people's success or life stories. It's no tragedy to do that but it takes us so far away from the things that truly matter to US. Not others but us.

If you had asked me if I would like to be like Steve Jobs, Eminem, Dwayne Johnson or Jay-Z, I would've said ''Yes, of course.'' I didn't realize that this was a terrible mistake. The true value you can offer to the world doesn't come from copying others but in fulfilling your potential as well as reaching and chasing your ideal self and inspire other people to do the same with their lives.

Entrepeneurship is about business, money, economy and assets. But for me, business is not the most important thing about it. It's about having an impact, making somebody else's life better. It's about solving their problems and make them believe that a life full of happiness, joy, change and experience is possible and that they can live it if they dare to try.

This brings me back to the first sentence. This forum has opened my eyes. I've gained so much business related value from it but more importantly, I've experienced what true entrepreneurship really is. There are so many successful entrepreneurs sharing their experiences, their struggles, their tips and their encouragement to people they don't know. And they don't do it for the money since there is no money involved. It's genuine help and it's amazing.

This forum has encouraged me to follow my own journey and share it with others, to empower and inspire them to follow theirs. Giving back to a community and influencing lives is the true core of being a human, not only an entrepreneur.

To come to a conclusion: The moment I experienced showed me that I'm responsible for my future and that I own my fears and every insecurity my mind produces. When the smoke disappears and the fear subsides, it's the most beautiful feeling to know that you're responsible for yourself and that you are granted to fulfill your potential and find your place in the world. The only thing you and I need to know is that it's possible and thanks to guys like you in this forum, I've come to know that it's possible for me also.

Sorry if this post seems unstructured. There were so many thoughts in my head that I needed to let go of and I've never been a skilled writer.

Anyway, I'm starting a f'n business and make myself and others happy during and after the process. Let's go.
