A shopify shop:customers will be German, European, USA...

My niche is much communicated in English, but I want to speak to Germany, too.

Sonow I mix the languages English and German.

Is that a good or bad idea?

Authority-wise it makes your domain more linked (both de an us links to one domain) but does it translate into better rankings for specific langs? Should but i don't know 100%.

It depends. Would never have two languages on one page. But if you have the option to switch from German to English and then everything on the page is in that language it's great.
But would recommend that you have two languages on the same page.

Yeah, that's a great point. I also think that for keyword search and SEO it should help if your page is in German. Also, do a lot of german rather order from a german page then an English one.

Shopify doesnt offer 2 languages to switch as fas as I have seen.

Should I make a WP Page on the .de domain and the shop on .com?
I think, that scatters too much.

Maybe I better write in German with English subtitles?

I'm not an expert but I thought that I've seen the Shopify store in multiple languages.
Think that could potentially help: Selling in multiple languages

I personally wouldn't make a .com and a .de store that's too much. But if by any means it's possible to have a store with multiple languages it would be great. Like a dropdown menu.

Otherwise, create two for both languages and create different URL's, as Shopify does:
en/manual/cross-border/multilingual-online-store
de/manual/cross-border/multilingual-online-store

Hope I could help a little, please note that that's really not my field of expertise.

I think, I leave the page mixed with two languages for the first time.

There is just a Problem.
Chinese would be easy

Ah, shit why that. Always the things you need...
Think there is a possibility to do it with an app. I just remembered had a similar problem, when I once created a shop for a friend. But then either the Sportify automated translation didn't exist or I did it the hard way... :)

Just googled a little and I think I did it similarly to him:

Hope I could help.
