Looking for some advise from those experienced with multiple successful websites.

If you have a very successful site called

mysite.com

and you want to branch into another related area which would you recommend

mysite.com/newarea

that way you can trade on all the rep mysite already has...or

newrelatedsite.com

A lot nicer if you want to sell in the future, sure you can still link mysite.com to it for some cred but over all you'll be starting again...

Any thoughts?
