Hello everyone.
My name Is Anthony and I have been a lurker on this forum for a while and thought I would sign up and introduce myself. I had been working in a Full Time job doing SEO and online marketing for an Agency and helping large Australian Businesses rank number 1 on google organically for very competitive keywords. I had enough of making other Company’s lots of money and started my first business 2 years ago after I discovered a need in the market.
Me and my technical co-founder created an online computer game hosting business for a large popular game and targeted the Australian market of it (where I am from). As I had a lot of web and SEO skills, we got lots of traffic and we created a great offering and business. We partnered with great providers and the business did well and grew to making over 150K in Revenue per year, enough for me and my co-founder to leave our full time jobs. However the business and niche does not have global scale and by limiting it to the Australian market there is not much room for growth. The business is slowly in decline and I have been looking to create another global online business for a while.
Reading MJs book The Millionaire Fastlane was a real game changer for me, I wish I had of read it before I started my first business. I now plan to start a new internet business in the coming months and will follow all the advice from The Millionaire Fastlane and this forum that I can.
I was torn about whether to learn programming or not, but after reading the "Learning to Program is STUPID!" thread I have decided against it. I already have alot of skills with SEO, Google Adwords and marketing. It makes sense to keep improving these skills and to learn to write better copy than to learn to code.
Coming up with ideas and testing them quickly is my next goal. I have really been struggling with what ideas to go with.
I plan to join the Fastlane INSIDERS soon too as I imagine it will have a lot of useful info for me to learn from.
