Saving money on taxes in your business

For people who have run companies here, or know of people who run companies in the US, what are the best ways to save some money on taxes paying yourself profits of the business. In other words, let's say you have a business that profits a bunch of money and you pay yourself at the end of the year. Obviously you're going to pay a bunch of taxes on it before you receive the money. Anyone know creative ways how to avoid just giving a bunch of money away to Uncle Sam.

Ya the current stuff I'm working on is all web based, so no office rental or anything. Have debated buying real estate because of the tax advantages of it but looking to see if I can find anything easier than buying property with company money. Going to be trying to find some good business CPAs but not sure if there's some really creative stuff I might not be thinking of.
