Unpopular opinion, but I would always prefer combustion engines over electric.

I’d much rather drive a beast then a space ship.
What is a beast?

A 400 horseradish American hoooorah Detroit V8?

Or 850 plus horsepower electric pickup that can shame every AMG Benz and M BMW on the planet?

Elon builds a better beast.

I saw a photo of a guy making fun of the rear end of the cyber truck while on his way to work. I though, holy shit that's a cool looking vehicle! It's just so wild.

People who trash electric because it's electric are just as bad as people who trash petrol vehicles because they are petrol. You should be able to buy something you want because you like it, not because you are being forced that particular vehicle.

Hey! I think I'm pretty good at copywriting too!

They search "oven repairs dublin" and I'd put "Dublin Oven Repairs" into the ad headline.

They search "cooker repairs galway" and I'd put "Galway Cooker Repairs" into the ad headline.

It's so hard no-one else seems to be able to do it.

Unpopular opinion.

The Cybertruck is the new coolest vehicle on the planet. Stealing the title from the G wagon.

According to idiots, that opinion makes me "a liberal" because it's "stoopid an lectric."

For the record I agree I think they’re cool as F*ck, I’ll make my mind up properly when I see one in person though, not entirely sure about the wheels and plastic fenders.

I also saw an ai generated widebody version that looked insane, way cooler than the original

I do wonder if this meme was paid for and if it affected sales, I’ve seen it everywhere on all the big corporate owned meme pages

Poland is the most high trust society I have lived in.

Went to an office earlier today and this bike just sitting by the door.

It is a "Specialized Venge", a $12,500 road bike.

No security cameras, no bike locks, door wide open to anyone.

Got chatting to the guy and he leaves it there year round.

It is one of the main reasons I love living here - never have to worry about crime.

Note to self, free bikes all over Poland. BRB.

It's personal taste.

For me the car looks weird and ugly.

I always remember this quote from a fashion retail buyer for a major department store

“I only buy the clothes I really like and really hate, everything else that I’m neutral about doesn’t sell”

Something like that anyway

I think it’s very solid advice for any brand or business

Try to have half the population hate you but have the other half love you, rather than trying to be non offensive and everything to everyone

Whoa. I had no idea a throwaway reply to a Facebook post could get so many views or Likes so fast.

I would prefer a car that has a nice combustion engine. It will always be my favourite kind of car. Especially because almost every city is trying to go “zero emission” by 2030 even though electric cars aren’t zero emission.

I saw a photo of a guy making fun of the rear end of the cyber truck while on his way to work. I thought, holy shit that's a cool looking vehicle! It's just so wild.
Personally, I don’t like the boxy, futuristic style it’s trying to go for, but just my opinion.

Looks sick, but I had gpt4 generate something that looks like an actual nice looking Tesla pickup rather than a polygonal gimmick of a car:

It really baffles me how they didn't opt for something like this and instead went completely off the rails and made a meme car.

This is actually a really good looking design, and could have modernized the traditional pickup frame.

Funny part is people will still pay for the Cybertruck and Tesla knows it 100%.

Electric cars are zero emission, it's just the processes required to make them aren't, and the power used to fuel them isn't clean yet.

The ideal choice is Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars (fueled by mainly nuclear energy) due to being much cleaner to manufacture.

Automakers won't do it because it requires a long term infrastructure investment, and that doesn't give their shareholders instant gratification.

I hired someone on Fiverr to see if they could make a Facebook ad that could beat mine

My CTR: 2.7-4%.
Theirs: 1.7%

(this corresponded to conversions too)

Bit of a waste of £240, but I guess I learned I can make a decent ad.

thanks for the heads up! I need a 7 string sometime soonish (working on a Scarlatti piece and some extra low notes), I've got my eyes on a RG something something. Going to wait for my company to be VAT registered first

The second hand market will be flooded with these in a months time!

This is what I’m saying about trying to be non offensive to everyone

That actually looks worse imo

It looks like every other truck with a Tesla skin on it, and it’s ugly

Cyber truck looks way cooler

I am definitely all for going out there and doing wacky shit, like I do want to see some really innovative and badass looking vehicles come out in the future, due to the removal of the internal combustion constraints.

I would love to see something like these as real EV or Hydrogen cars:
9987340C-D312-4478-9F47-7F8FFEE6053E.jpeg
45965276-6CDD-44DD-B1B0-5AABFE4F1C96.jpeg
You can see they have very pronounced and retrofuturistic features, as opposed to the polygon that the cybertruck is.

That first image is actually a real car called the Hyundai Vision N75, and is a high power hybrid of hydrogen fuel cells and EV technology. It was recently greenlit by Hyundai.

Overall, really think the cybertruck looks ugly as shit compared to stuff like this.

Make it outlandish, but make it look cool.

What happens with in US economy? I hear all over the forum that it gets more expensive, people submit their dogs to pet shelters, which they can't hold because they are poor.

I mean, the life is relatively cheaper because of the taxes, isn't it?

Context: I'm from Eastern Europe.

Americans have a spending problem, not only do majority of them not make enough to have a great living, they spend foolishly on credit cards. The majority of my friends are in some sort of credit card debt in their 30's. I feel bad for the animals in the shelter, but most of these people dont have their priorities correct as far as rent etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like combustion engines as well. I exist on two ends of the spectrum here. On one hand I would enjoy a stick shift Jeep or a visceral M3. On the other, I want to go 0-60 in 3 seconds and have my car drive me around.

There is room for both in my life. I couldn't care less about the virtue signaling emissions argument. For F*cks sake, I'd fly a helicopter everywhere if I could afford to.

It is fact that IC engines are more useful for long drives and towing and it is also fact that electric vehicles will handily outpreform IC within their range. An appreciation of electric and IC cars is not an ideology.

How do you think I feel? Capitalist, vegan, own 5 guns, personal responsibility, hate government, not religious... I can add a few other things but I'll stop there.
