ultimate irony is that the world economy has more to lose when US is recessionary than the US itself... with this in mind, it is only so long before the world economy is going to be dependent upon the USA.... the 64k questions is: when will china be self sufficient and not need the american consumer to support its own economy? and it will come, tomorrow, next year, in 10 years, whatever, when that day comes the US will not be able to artificially fund the economy as it has in the past 2 decades ... this makes for another discussion, but it's integral to understanding where our economy stands
