Question for the Website Pros

A detailed account of a Fastlane process...

Website Pros,

I'm giving strong consideration to a website idea I'm developing. My question is, to what extent do you feel it's necessary to self-identify on your site (i.e., "About Me" section)?

Down the road I would love to associate myself with my site. Early on, however, this would be a major risk because my employer would fire and/or sue me for secondary employment (they have brutally draconian policies around this).

So is it a lost cause to build a site with which you can't even associate yourself? Thanks in advance for any input.

- Cheers
