I've been visiting this forum now for just two months shy of two years. During these past two years, I've been doing everything short of making a move on something. Ideas have been tossed about aimlessly, without ever amounting to much; advice has been sought, to little avail; and fantasies have been dreamed, which just made me ever more hungry for success in the fastlane.

My default was always a content system of some kind (i.e. an ebook, website, DVD set, whatever) in the industry of fitness. However, my doubts of ever finding a fastlane in this niche were confirmed after an unexpected response from DeMarco himself on a thread I started just a few weeks back. My perspective on content-based businesses has changed dramatically since then, as I no longer feel they qualify as a solid path to the fastlane. So it's safe to say that I've now abandoned web-based content and have moved on to something that could possibly rip me right out of my slowlane life I'm living now and put me square in the fastlane, and it may happen very soon.

I've started the planning process of a radically different product that is software/computer-based and will be hiring help for product design within the next week. I plan on finishing at least the prototype/MVP version of this product no later than mid-November, if not sooner, and will begin the marketing and distribution process. I will be following Reiss's Lean Startup concepts until the final product is finished and I've attained a pretty solid response from consumers.

All in all, this should take no more than 6 months to one year before I see some pretty significant movement for this businesses. So, I think it's safe to say at this point that progress is about to made... finally!
