This is my second post after my introduction, so apologies if this is the wrong place.
TL;DR. Request for advice about pounding the streets for a menial, full-time job
Goal: Get a full-time Foundation Job
Why: I will get the funds to eat, live my life, and invest in myself so that I can progress to the next stage of my Fastlane journey (Specialised Labour)
I thought I had already achieved this two weeks ago when I signed up with a work agency that a friend recommended. I got an assignment... for three days! So I signed up for a second one today and hopefully I can get longer term work with them. This is very weird because in the past I have gotten work with agencies for weeks at a time over the school holidays. But that was then, and this is now.
I can give more details if you want, but the most pertinent point is that I am a young twenty-two year old man in South-East England who is not work-shy but currently without consistent work.
I *feel* like pounding the streets and asking for jobs straight up, with my application packet (CV, cover letter, letters of recommendation) in hand would be the fastest or most efficient route to a job.
So, I am requesting any advice that might help direct me in pounding the streets for a menial, full-time job. Bonus points if you have done this or something similar!
Thanks guys, looking forward to any responses!
