Hey one of my friends mate back in the US, started this fitness blog back in 2010. I remember checking it out, back then but didn't think much of it until i recently saw his youtube channel. The site is Davey Wavey Fitness - Workouts For Men, Exercise Tips & Fitness Advice and he has tones of videos on youtube about fitness, muscle building, with over 2 million hits!
He has built a brand, and has his free weight loss program.
How could he go fastlane with this site so far?
Based on the fastlane philosophy:
The foundation of commandment of need: he's in diet/fitness niche which many people have pain points and desire to look better
Commandment of entry - i guess anyone can throw up a blog and create youtube videos, but i don't think it really matters. Thus it depends on how good quality, viral your videos/content is.
Commandment of control - No one can really stop him from making youtube videos, creating his own product.
Scale - Massive niche, huge scale
If you had control over his site, videos, how would you go fastlane?
Personally i would create a awesome fitness product, drive massive traffic through youtube, scale it through a affiliate program, and continue to drive tones of traffic.
