My 2 cents - Putting myself in the customer's shoes, the site doesn't earn my trust, it just looks too unprofessional. I realize it's just a beta / test version, but as it is, I don't feel that I can trust your site enough to give you my email address, let alone my Paypal or credit card info.
If you're going to move forward with this project, I'd suggest designing your site similar to this box delivery service site: DormRoomMovers.com
There are several things about their site (just as an example), that build my trust as a customer:
1) It has a toll free phone number displayed (you can get one super cheap via Kall8.com)
2) Better Business Bureau logo (although the BBB is a big scam in my opinion, it does build trust with consumers)
3) Secure site certificate
4) The site's design
Also, I agree with FastNAwesome that there should be a pic of someone (like a UPS / FedEx person) delivering socks to someone's door - something that conveys to me what your site is all about in 3 seconds or less. If I see a pic of someone delivering socks to someone's door, I immediately know what this site is all about. The pic of the cartoon guy sitting in the chair - I can't figure out what this site is about unless I read a lot, so I'm hitting the back button.
Hope this helps.
