Does anyone have researched on this, on how to prevent libel and defamation if you are a creator on Youtube or Medium?

I am creating content related to case studies of entrepreneurs and companies. In theory it is safe, not investigative journalism kind of thing.

What are the precautions to take?

If I am based in Singapore writing about a businessman in Japan, using U.S. platforms such as Medium and Youtube, and if a libel lawsuit take place, what Legal Jurisdication will it take place?

Thanks. :)

Really,question to the lawyer.

One thing that is most probable is that platform being in USA
doesn't mean prosecution would be in USA
(they can sue the platform there)

Not sure if creating LLC in USA and doing it under its name would help.

The topic of defamation is more obscure than international e-commerce -
and int. law on e-commerce is a mess.
Skimming through top results doesn't give anything meaningful that could be compared to defamation.
I remember reading that end buyer is protected by law in his country (at least in US).

What are some precautions to avoid libel lawsuits for bloggers?

I am just writing on biographies and lessons drawn from successful business people and companies. It is not high risk but I just want to develop safe habits at the start.
