I also liked it because I don't think it was very Hollywood, it felt "Korean/Japanese" - a bit crazy and unpredictable.
Definitely liked this about it, and am subsequently surprised it was awarded an Oscar. It had that Korean/Japanese movie vibe of "everything is fine and NOW EVERYTHING GOES OFF A CLIFF". I didn't really realize until now that this was one of my favorite aspects, haha.
I started watching it and at least the beginning it seemed like a "rich people get what's coming to them" flick, so I do admit that after that my attention started to drift.
By the end, quite the reverse in my opinion. The con artist family does NOT get to ride off happily into the sunset.
