Here's another way of looking at it.

Suppose I wrote a blog article ... and in that article ... I shared 10 amazing tips ... to on how to ball in the fastlane.

10 tips ... so amazing ... that when M.J. heard about them ... he was kicking himself for not including them in his book,

Now also suppose ... that when I started that article ... I started by talking at length about my Aunt Matilda's chronic battle with hemorrhoids ...

And then I talked at length about my grandmother's living room ...

And then I explained step by step how to knit a wool sweater ...

If the reader did not make it down to the bottom of the page where the Fastlane tips were ... whose fault would that be ...?

Well ... that's my point.

Maybe the article "redeems" itself later on down the page ...

But I never got that far.

If you lose the reader early on ... you never get to the end.

And in that regard ... the article failed.

Or such is my opinion.

You are (obviously) free to disagree.

Here is another theory : suppose you wrote that masterpiece of an article, everybody agreed it was a gem..... But I really had a crappy day.....my patience is null, my receptivity is near zero.....what do you think happens ?? ......our unique filters ( emotional, history, physical ...etc) let us interpret things differently ....which is fine after all :)

Yeah ... I suppose that's possible too. ;)

Waste 12 minutes of my time -- shame on me.

We get it, you didn't read the post and didn't like it. If you don't like it stop wasting more of your time posting about the article that already wasted your time.
