Political topics at the forum have been against the rules for nearly 18 years.

Nothing has changed during this time.

I refuse to have this crap put in front of my face here.

However, if you feel compelled to post political commentary at the forum, you are doing MORE than just breaking the forum rules.

YOU ARE VIOLATING MY PERSONAL SANCTITY.
YOU ARE VIOLATING MY PERSONAL LIFE RULES.

In effect, you are coming into my home and subjecting me to your rantings and ravings.

If you cherish your youthful skin, do you want to be forced to sit in the blazing sun?
If you are vegan, do you want meat shoved down your throat?
If you are Christian, do you want to be FORCED into attending an atheist conference?

This is what a violation of my personal space looks like.

There's a reason why I don't engage at political discourse on any social media platform, including FB, X, Reddit, or here.

I value my life, and my life energy far too highly to waste my time on such discourse.

As I stated in the Random thread on why political stuff here is so triggering to me, more so than the content itself...

I feel it is on par with having meat shoved down my throat when I made a life decision to eat plant-based.

What's worse than having to read it? Having to engage with it because it was quasi-directed at me from some old post I made that is nearly 10 years old.

So when you post politics here at the forum (especially political hoaxes like the Elon Musk Nazi salute BS) you are VIOLATING MY PERSONAL SPACE.

I refuse to login to my forum and read political red meat, especially those designed to outrage, narrative frame, and deceive.

Effectively immediately, anyone who violates the politics rule will be temporarily banned for 7 days.

If you are unsure what is political, it is likely anything of a political nature or figure (including Musk or Trump, unfortunately, two entrepreneurs) that makes the front page of Reddit (left) or X (right).

Take your political takes to the relevant echo chamber where you'll get the adoration you seek.

There are plenty to choose from on both sides.
