Though, after researching several forums and reading threads on the e-biz section of this site, it'll be very costly just to develop a site from the ground up with a web developer. Now it seems that I would have to scale down a bit and take a realistic approach based on my available funds, which is $4K for this startup. The funds includes all the overhead in getting the business going from the legal standpoint (acquisition of an LLC, trademark the logo and name, attorney fee for disclaimer) to web development (domain name, web developer, hosting.)

Which threads make you think you do not have enuogh money? $4k sounds like enuogh to get something going... why is your funds liimited to what you have in your pocket? You can get a project started while simutaniously doing something for money while its being worked on and progress with the site completion. acqusition of an LLC? are you busing a shell company? last i checked it was $100 to file. domain and hosting are cheap. DO you have a cost analysis? maybe you could create a thread and members could help you realize that plan, it may not be as tough as you think
