Hi, I am new on the fastlane forum. I am from the UK, and I want to become a fastlaner. I left my apprenticeship behind in construction, and moved some 100 miles away by myself. I was being abused at home by parents, and I have just seen my 20th birthday. I am alone, uneducated and looking for some advice and a chance to chat to some like minded people. I never went to university, and barely got through school. I am currently going through the process of trying to commercialise a product idea, aimed at the supplements market. I work part time and pay rent for a small bedsit. Any sources of education in regards to entrepreneurship I would be most grateful for- I have finished reading the millionaire fastlane , and I've set my sights on learning about finance and economics skills for buisness- so anything relevant to this would be greatly appreciated.

If that's all you took from reading TMF I would be very, very concerned...

Have you validated this product idea with your audience first?

Create an execution thread and write down what you've got going so far. I'd bet it'll save you a lot of pain and regret.

The best source of education for entrepreneurship is to sell something of value. Anything. Doesn't need to meet CENTS. Doesn't need to make you a fortune. Sell anything. Be valuable. Then you can repeat, and scale. And worry about CENTS.

Welcome aboard.

That's what I'm looking at doing next- yes I'll write one and go from there. No I took many things from the millionaire fastlane , it was a complete eye opener for me. Leading up to my 20th birthday, previously I truly had no idea just how possible it was, to go fastlane. and I feel the book has helped give me direction too, as I now know what I want next. I just remember a page MJ wrote about, talking about the necessity of learning basic finance and economics. I am just curious if there is any good books out there, courses etc. Where I can learn the skills necessary.

I’d recommend picking up a job to cover living expenses and then shoving every extra dime you have into a small war chest. Keep expenses low, and try to sell just like MJ said. That little war chest will help you fund this R&D portion of your life.

Yes, I'm currently working part time and it pays my rent, and food. I've got cash saved, about £1,000- my war funds as you said- I don't have much left at the end of the month, perhaps £100-£200 GBP. I've got a product idea ready, I'm about to execute it. I make about £888 a month, my rent is £375 per month- food between £100-£120
