Personally, these books have not change my life-yet.

I actually know one millionaire. One who isn't rich from a lifetime of saving and investing in 401k. He has his own "fastlane" methods. He's a real estate guy. He owns thousands of acres of property here in east Texas, he has sold thousands of acres, has several rental properties, carries the note on a few houses, and builds custom homes.
While riding with him one day I finally started asking questions about how to get to where he is. He said "I asked a man that same question ten years ago, I'll start you out the way he started me... buy "the richest man in babylon" read it, and you'll learn everything you need to know about saving your money... and then making it work for you. Your money can work harder, longer hours than you can." He also at later dates mentioned "Poor Richards Almanack" and "The Way to Wealth". I'm still waiting on "Poor Richards Almanack" to come in the mail, but I just finished the other two.
Both books I recently read are very short, but well written. I know the ideas expressed inside are not new, original, or groundbreaking... but they are common sense, and motivational (to me).
Has anyone here read any of the above books? If so, did they change your financial future? Have they impacted your gameplan at all? Most importantly... to the millionaires... did these books have any part in your success?
From what I can see, "The Way to Wealth" is about frugality... living below your means, and working hard. Seems like good advice, but definately SLOW lane. On the other hand, "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason can be interpreted a couple of ways. The way I took it was as a FAST lane book.
-Work Hard
-Pay yourself first
-Invest the money you saved into a system that creates cashflow
-Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
I'm not as good at this as most of you, so if anyone is interested in these books... please throw in your 2 cents. Thanks.
