The average person, as a whole, NEVER THINKS. Don't get me wrong, they do use what I'd call "Mental Activity" but by no means do they ever think. If they do somehow think at a small percentage, it's probably all-consumed about how the rents going to get paid, who's going to be left on Dancing with the Stars, or what they are going to be wear to the club that weekend, etc.
Rarely do they ever think of getting ahead in life, mostly because they don't A) see the value in thinking & also B) Don't believe they can ever be any better off than they are. I'm not saying it's their fault - mostly because they are surrounded by the same type of people. It's all they essentially know.
I've came to realize that most people have:
A) The lack of understanding that adding value in other people's lives creates money.
B) The lack of awareness that people just as smart as themselves created everything around them from a simple idea that grew into thriving value in many (if fastlane, hopefully millions) lives.
C) The lack of understanding there are other people that are good at what you're not so good at, don't let that stop you. Develop your team.
REMEMBER: YOU CAN NEVER FIND WHAT YOU AREN'T LOOKING FOR!
Now to the Million Dollar Idea Exercise:
This is no complex issue we're dealing with here. It's rather simple:
1) Set aside 1 hour, particularly in the morning, grab a journal and a pen.
(Optional: I find it helpful to put your goal at the top of the page, like the money you wish to create, get's you thinking BIG)
2) Think of some kind of avatar (Any type of one person you know, from any walk of life)
3) Now step into their shoes, see the world from their eyes (Feel their Emotions)
4) Think of what they already buy (what they like, what they need, where they focus most of their energy, what would be an automatic buy to them?)
5) Now ask the question: What would make their lives more convenient & enjoyable (Add value, something that would solve a problem and would really make things convenient.)
6) Write down every single idea that comes to mind (Minimum 20 a day)
7) Repeat 5 days a week - that's 100 ideas of value-adding ideas weekly (That Are Potentially Worth Millions)
8) When you find one you are enthusiastic about, and you will, take action IMMEDIATELY.
A Little Side Note: You don't need to know how it's going to happen, it's better that way. Become Obsessed. When you're obsessed things just fall into place - & if they don't you will push them into place.
Develop this habit and just watch how many million dollar ideas you will find that you were never aware of. Just like MJ has stated in his book, one little choice can have a huge impact on how your life unfolds (Such as the meteor to Earth Analogy).
Take Action, Develop the Habit, and I'll happily be collecting some royalties... Lol jk
