The situation now is- I am finally cutting strings and going for it which means a) I quit my job(it only paid $2200/mo), b) I am selling off everything that I do not absolutely need(i.e. motorcycle, mountain bike, household items, etc) and cutting unnecessary expenses, c) I started on Fri night and will continue to take this day by day with 15 minute progress check "journal" entries at the beginning and end of each day with the main categories being: eCommerce, Personal Finances, Friends/Family, Diet, Fitness and Household Tasks.
With that in mind, I got an email a little over a week back and Ed Dale from the 30 Day Challenge is offering a mentoring program at a cost of $5000 for 1yr of support. Now first off, I understand that this is no magic pill and that I have to do all the work, however, the reason I am considering this is because the avenue I want to pursue is eCommerce and he is one of the best in the biz. In fact, I know a lot of this can be done on my own, however, using the wrong tools or the wrong approach will just lead to more time wasted and frustration, IMO, going at it alone I feel is the equivalent of bringing a "knife to a gun fight" in the world of eCommerce/Internet Marketing
Now more than ever my back is against the wall and really, I need to just put up or shut up. I know this won't be easy, but with the right tools I know I can prove to myself that MJ's philosophy that "get rich quick DOES exist, however, there is no get rich EASY".
So the first question is- Is this worth it? If not, please let me know specific concerns based on your own experience.
And then, if not, what are some suggestions to finding the right tools(i.e. methods to use Market Samurai or tools for indexing/backlinking/etc) or what would I need to bring to the table to make a worthwhile mentorship relationship with one of the established eCommerce members here, I will admit that I have been very nervous to post this and have considered sending PM's to specific members here, but I am very afraid of rejection or how this will be interpreted, especially since I highly value my reputation on these forums.
Thanks for your input, wish I could make it to B&P this year, however, as I mentioned on the B&P thread, the steps I am taking now will allow for us to move to the Phoenix area by the Fall at the latest and help to contribute to B&P next year!
