Medellin will be home for me for the next five weeks!
Will anyone else be around?

Ahh, sweet sweet Medellin. I was there for two months last year - October and November.

I'll definitely be going back, but I have a long list of other destinations to get through before repeating.

You'll most likely enjoy it, but then it all depends on:

- Your Spanish speaking skills
- People you hang out with
- The primary reason you're going there

Im going to totally agree on all three of these points. Spanish speaking skills for sure has a huge effect on who you hang out with too. Once you can immerse yourself with locals it gets really interesting.

My first year in Honduras I refused to learn Spanish and it confined me. I started to learn the second year and by my fourth year in Latin America while in Colombia I took a big leap in my skills and it was truly an enhanced experience when I could communicate so much better with locals. I still suck with listening, need to work big time on speaking, but reading and writing is not bad and looking forward to committing to learning again.

Makes sense!
My spanish speaking skills are pretty good.
I'm hanging out with other like-minded entrepreneur types.
I'm here to work remotely and enjoy the country in the meantime. (and salsa dance ;)

Just one month though unlike you guys. It may not be enough time :p
