Marketing for Buyers

I am in the process of marketing to find buyers for me to wholesale deals to. I see lots of people suggest saying that you already have a property to get their attention and then tell them its gone when they call but that you find lots of them and getting their info that way. I don't really feel comfortable going that way.

What is wrong with just placing an add on craigslist or the like that says something like:

"Investors wanted"

"looking for investors to buy properties at 60-70% of FMV in X area"

Am I missing something? Any help to improve would be greatly appreciated.
