managing your affiliates

A while back i posted a thread asking what program to use for managing sales through affiliates, managing banners, managing the actual affiliates and tracking etc.

Kwerner showed me iDevAffiliate - Affiliate Tracking Software - Affiliate Program Software which looks like it would do the job but its just seems confusing or there could be a better way.

Can anyone share their experiences with these programs, what are important features, and does anyone have any overall positive reviews on programs you've used or are using now?

Any things to look out for/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
